Piperacillin 4gm + Tazobactum 0.5gm Injection

Piperacillin and tazobactam are an effective combination that belongs to the category of medications called Penicillins and beta-lactamase inhibitors. This medication works by killing the harmful bacteria inside our body and protecting ourselves by preventing the growth of the bacteria. This medication breaks the cell wall of the bacterial cell, which is essential for the life of the bacteria and its growth as well. Bacteria can enter the human body by using many methods such as food, cloth, air, dirt, etc. According to studies, a maximum number of people are suffering from different kinds of bacterial infections, so the recommendation for Penicillins and beta-lactam inhibitors is increased.

Directions to Use 

• Eat proper meals and plenty of fluids for good digestive health. 
• This medication is injected into a vein as instructed by your doctor, typically every 6 hours. The dose should be administered gradually over a minimum of 30 minutes. The dose is determined and based on your medical condition and how well your body responds to treatment. The dosage for the children is also determined by age and weight. 
• Follow and finish the proper prescribed course even if your body starts feeling well, stopping earlier can lead to the return of a stronger virus. 
• If you are using this medication, make sure you are familiar with all the instructions on how to prepare and use it. Check the product visually for any particles or stains. If you notice any of these, do not consume the liquid.
• The best way to use this antibiotic is to take it at the right time each day. To make it easier to remember, take it at the same hour every day. 

Side Effects

This medication is prescribed after proper calculation and measurements and also after confirming that the benefits are greater than the risks of side effects. Most people do not face any serious side effects. Normal and common side effects can occur which generally do not require medical attention are –

• Do not use any antibiotics for other infections in the future. Talk to your medical healthcare provider before using any antibiotics.
